🎬 PART 2: «The Hug That Took Seven Years»

The woman reached for his face with shaking hands.

At first, the boy flinched.

Not because he didn’t know her.

Because he did.

Her fingers touched his dirty cheek, and a sound broke from her chest that wasn’t quite a sob and wasn’t quite a breath.

“My baby
”

The little girl stood behind them, silent now, her eyes wide.

The boy looked at the woman’s face like he was trying to match it to a dream.

“You came back?” he whispered.

The woman covered her mouth.

“I never left you.”

His small hands tightened around the sandwich.

“They said you didn’t want me.”

She shook her head hard, tears falling onto his torn shirt.

“No. No, I was told you were gone.”

The boy’s face crumpled.

“For real?”

The woman pulled him into her arms before he could say anything else.

He stayed stiff for one second.

Then he broke.

The sandwich fell beside them as he clung to her coat with both hands, crying into her shoulder like a child who had been holding his breath for years.

The girl stepped closer, trembling.

“Mom
 is he my brother?”

The woman looked up through tears.

Then she pulled her daughter in too.

“Yes,” she whispered. “He’s your brother.”

The boy looked at the little girl who had given him food before she knew his name.

And for the first time, he smiled.

Not because he was safe yet.

But because someone had finally found him.
