Why Did Kris Jenner Delete Meghan & Harry from Her Birthday Photos? The Internet Thinks It Knows…

Headline: Royal Surprise at Jenner’s 70th — or Subtle Showdown?

At first glance, it appeared to be a glamorous guest list addition for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry: the couple arrived hand-in-hand at Kris Jenner’s star-studded, James Bond-themed 70th birthday celebration, held at Jeff Bezos’s Beverly Hills estate. In attendance were the Hollywood elite — including Mariah Carey, Adele, Oprah Winfrey and many more.

Meghan, 44, chose a sleek all-black ensemble — a fitted long-sleeved top paired with a flowing skirt — while Harry kept it classic in a velvet tuxedo, complete with a Remembrance poppy on his lapel. The aura of the evening was unmistakably high-glamour: crystal chandeliers, roulette tables, luxe gift bags, and a caviar bar that insiders described as “over the top even for the Kardashians.”

Yet what truly caught attention wasn’t just the arrival — it was what followed. After the event, Jenner shared a carousel of about 20 photos on Instagram under the caption: “Magical night celebrating my 70th birthday with beautiful family and friends.” NYP Post+1 But Meghan and Harry were absent from the published gallery. The omission stirred plenty of chatter online. The Times of India+1

Digging deeper, multiple outlets reported that photos of Meghan and Harry had originally been posted by Jenner and by Kim Kardashian — then subsequently deleted. One tabloid claims the couple’s team requested removal to avoid upsetting the royal family during reconciliation efforts. Meanwhile, another source asserted that no photo-consent forms had ever existed for the event — casting doubt on narratives about formal sign-offs.

Sources close to the Jenner circle reportedly express frustration. According to one article, the family was “annoyed” that attention shifted to Meghan & Harry’s involvement (and Instagram drama) rather than their mother’s milestone celebration.
Another wrinkle: the timing. The party took place over the weekend of Remembrance Day in the UK. Harry wore a poppy; Meghan did not — and British media flagged the omission. Some suggested that the Sussexes’ appearance at an ultra-Hollywood affair represented a tension between their current U.S. celebrity lifestyle and the still-unresolved relationship with the British royal institution.

From all angles, the scene feels layered: a dazzling event, a high-profile couple, social-media maneuvers, and underlying questions of image, strategy and allegiance. Did Meghan and Harry walk into Jenner’s glitzy world expecting to be the stars — and end up sidelined? Or was their quieter removal from the posts a deliberate move in a longer game of branding and privacy?

Questions for you to ponder:

  • Was Meghan really snubbed by Jenner’s camp — or was it a coordinated decision by Meghan & Harry’s team?

  • Does the Instagram deletion carry more meaning than appears — about power dynamics, publicity control, or brand alignment?

  • And what does this episode tell us about Meghan & Harry’s positioning between Hollywood celebrity and royal legacy?
