106 & Park to Celebrate 25 Years With an Epic Reunion at the 2025 BET Awards
Get ready to relive the moments that shaped an entire generation.
The 2025 BET Awards is set to take fans on a nostalgic ride with a star-packed tribute to 106 & Park, the iconic music countdown show that defined Hip-Hop and R&B culture in the 2000s. BET Media Group has announced that this year’s ceremony will honor the show’s 25th anniversary with the long-awaited reunion of its most beloved hosts.

AJ Calloway, Free, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J will return to the spotlight together, celebrating a program that wasn’t just television — it was a cultural pulse point for Black youth, shaping everything from music discovery to style, energy, and attitude.
“106 & Park was more than a music countdown show; it was the heartbeat of Black youth culture and one of BET’s highest-rated programs for over a decade,” said Scott Mills, President and CEO of BET. “From Freestyle Friday to unforgettable live performances, it launched careers, influenced fashion, and became a place where voices, style, and sound converged.”
Naturally, a reunion this big demands a soundtrack. Fans can look forward to performances from the artists who turned the 106 stage into history: Bow Wow — widely known as Mr. 106 & Park — along with Amerie, B2K, Jim Jones, Mya, T.I., and a lineup of surprise guests ready to reignite the electricity of weekday afternoons in the early 2000s.
“106 & Park served as a cultural touchstone, embodying the energy, creativity, and authenticity of a generation,” added Connie Orlando, EVP of Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET. “Its legacy continues to shape how we engage with artists and celebrate Black creativity. We’re excited to honor 25 years of this iconic series.”
The celebration extends far beyond the main telecast. As part of Culture’s Biggest Week, BET will bring fans into the world of 106 & Park through a series of immersive experiences during the BET Experience Fan Fest at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 7 and 8. Attendees can expect the return of Freestyle Friday with a modern twist, photo opportunities on a recreated set, performances, and special reunions that bring the show’s history to life.
On the night of the awards, Terrence J will kick off “Red Carpet Live” with a classic freestyle battle, a new music video premiere, and plenty of nostalgic throwback moments. Bow Wow will also bring his trademark charisma as the host of BET Social LIVE.
Finally, the live broadcast from the Peacock Theater will serve as the emotional centerpiece — a full-circle tribute not only to the legacy of 106 & Park, but also to the evolution of Black music, fashion, culture, and storytelling that the show championed.
Twenty-five years after the first countdown aired, the culture is counting down once again — this time, to a reunion fans didn’t know they needed, but unquestionably deserve.
The 2025 BET Awards will air live on Monday, June 9, at 8 PM ET/PT on BET.
