6 ways to use wind oil to help repel mosquitoes extremely well

Some mosquito sprays can be effective, but they often come at a cost. Moreover, their safety for users may not be high, especially in households with young children, so their use should be limited. Instead, you can use medicated balm (like menthol rub) to repel mosquitoes. Medicated balm is inexpensive and safe for everyone in the house.

Medicated balm contains essential oils such as peppermint, eucalyptus, basil, cinnamon, and cajeput, which help drive mosquitoes away. Here are some ways to use medicated balm to repel mosquitoes:

Method 1

Open the lid of the medicated balm and place it in a dark corner of the room or house. Mosquitoes often gather in these dark spots. When they smell the balm, they will avoid the area and fly away instead of staying there.

Method 2

Put a few drops of medicated balm on an electric fan blade and turn it on. As the fan runs, the scent of the balm spreads throughout the house. Mosquitoes that detect the smell will fly away quickly.

Method 3

Apply a few drops of medicated balm to a curtain. This simple method effectively repels mosquitoes safely. In addition, it helps improve the air quality, making the room feel fresher.

Method 4

Add a few drops of medicated balm to your child’s bath water. When bathing your child in warm water, you can mix in a few drops of balm. This prevents mosquito bites while leaving a pleasant scent on the child’s skin.

Method 5

Put a few drops of medicated balm on mosquito-repellent incense. If you use mosquito-repellent incense at home, adding balm enhances the effect and reduces the incense smell, making the room more comfortable.

Method 6

Apply medicated balm to any spots where mosquitoes may hide. Repeating this a few times ensures mosquitoes won’t dare to return.

Besides medicated balm, you can use other natural ingredients found at home to repel mosquitoes, such as:

  • Burning dried tea leaves or mugwort leaves around the house. The smoke keeps mosquitoes away.

  • Drying and burning orange or tangerine peels in the room. This not only freshens the air but also helps repel mosquitoes.
