On February 4, 2025, President Donald Trump's youngest child, Barron Trump, was seen on New York University's campus. This was his first appearance since his father's inauguration. While his behavior appeared normal, netizens focused on his looks, with some offering harsh judgments.

During his outing in New York, Barron wore a cream-colored sweater over a white polo shirt. He also wore black pants, and black-and-white Adidas sneakers, and carried a backpack. Instagram users rushed to share their thoughts on the teenager, with one person mocking, "He's got baby hands awwww."
Responding to that comment, another remarked, "Just like daddy." Many echoed the same sentiment, with a third noting, "He has tiny hands too☝️," while another user added, "[He's] got his daddy's hands."
"He's got small hands like his dad," commented someone else, while another netizen laughed, writing, "Little hands 😂." After seeing Barron's images on X, formerly known as Twitter, one individual joked, "Look at those lady hands lol. [sic]"

Another Instagram user pointed out other similarities between Barron and his father, stating, "He looks like young Trump on maximum settings 😅💪🇺🇲." One Instagrammer wrote, "Lookin like his daddy 😊," while an X user praised him, saying, "Looking good. I like how he is dressed! Very impressive young man!"

On Barron's first day back on campus, he was accompanied by a security detail that escorted him from Trump Tower. He and his mother, First Lady Melania Trump, primarily reside in the building instead of the White House.
The 18-year-old, who is enrolled in the Stern School of Business, traveled in a motorcade of five SUVs to Greenwich Village. The area was monitored by the New York Police Department (NYPD) and the Secret Service as Barron walked onto campus.

In a past interview, Melania revealed that her priority is being a mother, first lady, and a wife. She believes her son will visit her and bring his friends along now that he is in college. Melania noted that parents have their children until they're 18 or 19, teaching and guiding them before giving them wings to fly.

The devoted parent shared that she respects Barron's decisions—whether it's a yes or no, what he wants to do, where he wants to go, or what he aspires to be. She also acknowledged that her son isn't experiencing a typical college life, as he must remain vigilant about whom he trusts and connects with.
These are rules Barron knows well, having matured quickly. The First Lady said that from age 10, her son was different from other children. She described him as an intelligent and incredible young man of whom she is very proud.

Donald's wife believes her son will share his wishes with her because they have strong communication and a great bond. Before becoming first lady, Melania admitted that she didn't expect Barron to have a typical college experience, because of his differences.

However, she expressed pride in his strength and the way he handles challenges. She added, "He knows he's in [a] different position than other children, and I just say, 'Make your dreams come true. This is your road, this is your life. Make sure that you listen [to] yourself and your likes and dislikes.'"
The loving parent also revealed that Barron likes his new school. However, while attending his father's inauguration in January 2025, Melania's son stole the spotlight again. Many also commented on his striking resemblance to his father while others noted his height.

The teenager, dressed in a tailored blue suit with an American flag lapel pin, elicited comments from fans, including one who marveled, "Wow [he's] identical to his dad 😮." Echoing the sentiment, someone else wrote, "He looks so much like his father."

Others emphasized the resemblance, with one person stating, "He looks exactly like his dad," and another noting, "Dad's old hairstyle." Several people focused on his height, with one individual remarking, "He's so tall," while another chimed in, "He is So tall now."

Someone else stated, "Barron Trump stands a head taller than the rest 👑," while others described him in detail. One person said, "Barron Trump [is] literally the tallest in the room by a solid 5 inches," and another added, "Man, Barron Trump towers over everyone! There is not a single person in the room that comes close to his height!"
This isn't the first presidential inauguration Barron Trump has attended. In 2017, he stood beside his mother as she held the Bible for her husband during his swearing-in ceremony as the 45th President of the US.
