JACK OSBOURNE OPENED UP ON ‘SECRET’ WEDDING TO WIFE AREE WHO BECAME ‘BONUS’ MUM TO HIS DAUGHTERS

Jack Osbourne makes tearful admission on father's death as he breaks down on I'm A Celeb

Jack Osbourne broke down in tears on last night’s (17 November) episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! as he opened up about the death of his father, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne. The emotional moment happened during an intimate conversation with fellow campmate and actor Lisa Riley, who gently encouraged him to share how he has been coping.

The 40-year-old’s decision to take part in the ITV reality show came less than four months after Ozzy’s passing — a choice that surprised many fans who assumed Jack would step away from the public eye. However, Jack has repeatedly assured viewers that both his mother Sharon and the rest of the Osbourne family fully supported him joining the show, believing that keeping busy would be good for him during the grieving process.

Global tributes poured in following Ozzy’s death, including messages from musicians, world leaders, and long-time admirers. Even former U.S. President Donald Trump sent condolences to Sharon, reflecting just how significant Ozzy’s impact had been across generations and cultures. The Black Sabbath frontman had been living with Parkinson’s disease for years and also suffered from coronary artery disease, conditions that Jack referenced during his emotional conversation.

While sitting with Riley by the campfire, she gently asked him, “Did you expect it, or was it a shock?” Her question prompted Jack to reflect deeply.

“It was definitely a shock,” he said, visibly holding back tears. “We knew he was sick for a while, but it was definitely a shock. We didn’t think it would be that quick.”

Ozzy passed away on 22 July after suffering a cardiac arrest. His family later shared that he died peacefully and was “surrounded by love.” The loss came only weeks after Ozzy had performed a historic farewell concert with the original Black Sabbath lineup — the first time they had reunited for two decades. Held at Birmingham’s Villa Park, the performance fulfilled Ozzy’s long-time wish to take the stage in his hometown once more.

Following the concert, Ozzy settled into retirement in Buckinghamshire, with his family making the UK their long-term home base. His funeral took place at the end of July in Birmingham, where mourners lined Black Sabbath Bridge in a powerful display of respect, gratitude, and affection for the musician who helped define an entire genre.

Back in the jungle, Riley placed a comforting hand on Jack’s shoulder as she honoured Ozzy’s career: “He had the legacy of legacies… He did a massive big gig and was like, alright, I’m done.”

Jack, holding back more tears, managed to keep the moment light by joking, “He’s looking at me like, ‘What the f**k are you doing?’” He added that Ozzy would have fully supported his appearance on the series — “The whole family was. They were like, absolutely, go do it.”

Later, speaking alone in the Bush Telegraph, Jack admitted that the grieving process is still ongoing: “I’m still navigating it all. It’s been nearly four months, so it’s still pretty fresh.”

I’m A Celeb continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
