Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are returning to familiar ground by rekindling their professional relationship with a public relations firm they have trusted in the past.

Page Six has confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are once again working with Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis (SSML), a well-established, bi-coastal public relations agency known for representing high-profile celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Jimmy Fallon. The move signals a strategic attempt by the couple to stabilize and strengthen their public image after years of frequent changes within their communications team.

According to sources, the Sussexes will collaborate closely with SSML alongside their in-house staff. This internal team includes Liam Maguire, who currently serves as their director of communications for the UK and Europe, helping to manage messaging on both sides of the Atlantic.

The couple has a long-standing history with SSML. The firm represented Markle during her acting career, most notably while she starred on the legal drama “Suits.” SSML has also partnered with Markle and Prince Harry on various initiatives since 2017, well before their royal wedding. Reflecting the close relationship between both parties, Keleigh Thomas Morgan — one of SSML’s co-presidents — attended the couple’s royal wedding in May 2018.

Despite their strong industry connections, Markle, 44, and Prince Harry, 41, have faced ongoing challenges in retaining publicists since stepping back from royal duties and relocating to North America in 2020. Over the past five years, the couple has reportedly cycled through nearly a dozen communications professionals.

Most recently, their 11th publicist, Meredith Maines, resigned last December following a wave of controversy tied to the couple’s appearance at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration. According to insiders, tensions escalated after photos from the lavish event — held at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s $175 million Beverly Hills estate — surfaced online. The Sussexes were criticized for attending the star-studded party, where they socialized with A-list guests including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Bill Gates, Paris Hilton, Tyler Perry, Ciara, and Mark Zuckerberg.

Sources allege that representatives for Markle and Harry asked Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian to remove Instagram photos featuring the couple. Shortly thereafter, the images were quietly deleted, fueling speculation and public scrutiny. One insider described the Kardashian-related fallout as the “final straw” that prompted Maines’ departure, adding that the Sussexes were concerned about upsetting the royal family amid ongoing reconciliation efforts.

Beyond publicists, the couple has also seen notable turnover within their broader team. Last month, James Holt, the head of Archewell Philanthropies — the Sussexes’ charitable foundation — announced he would be stepping down. His exit follows the departures of several senior Archewell staffers, including Genevieve Roth, Christine Schirmer, and Ashley Hansen.

The renewed partnership with Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis may represent an effort by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to restore continuity and credibility to their public relations strategy, as they navigate ongoing scrutiny, evolving public roles, and shifting relationships on both sides of the Atlantic.
