The Internet's Most Glamorous Mom-to-Be
Ultimately, there is no complicated lesson required to enjoy Khloe's story.
A beloved dog was expecting puppies.
Her photographer owner wanted to celebrate.
So instead of taking an ordinary pregnancy photograph, she created an elaborate pink maternity set and treated Khloe like the star of a professional portrait session.
Khloe played her role beautifully.
She posed among flowers.
She displayed her growing belly.
She waited for four puppies to arrive.
And an announcement originally intended for friends and family traveled far beyond Kentucky.
The pictures became part of the internet's endless collection of strange, wholesome and unexpectedly memorable moments.
Years later, they returned.
New viewers discovered the tiny Jack Russell surrounded by pink decorations and asked the same question people had asked the first time:
How can a dog possibly look this comfortable during a maternity photoshoot?
Maybe it was Khloe's experience in front of the camera.
Maybe it was her personality.
Maybe she simply liked the attention.
Whatever the explanation, the photographs succeeded because they transformed an ordinary milestone into something unforgettable.
Four puppies were on the way.
One very proud-looking mother was ready for her close-up.
And somewhere between the flowers, blankets, ribbons and three hours of photography, Khloe created a maternity portrait that the internet apparently still isn't finished loving.
