Streamer responds after Emiru accuses him of sexual assault, abuse and blackmail
Serious allegations were made by Emily "Emiru" Schunk towards fellow live streamer and ex-boyfriend Matthew "Mizkif" Rinaudo, with the former detailing accusations of sexual assault, abuse, and blackmail from the latter in a recent Twitch stream over the weekend.
The pair started dating back in January 2022, and their relationship lasted roughly three years until the start of 2025 when they revealed that they were no longer together and seemingly ceased all contact.
However, following the assault she faced at TwitchCon just over a week ago, Emiru has now revealed the horrific details of her past relationship with Mizkif, alleging that the streamer sexually assaulted and abused her, and threatened her with blackmail if she told anyone or spoke about it on stream.
What has Emiru said about Mizkif?
As reported by Dexerto, Emiru began an emotional Twitch stream on Saturday (October 25), stating:
"Today I'm finally going to be opening up about the psychological and domestic abuse, stalking and harassment, sexual assault, and threats of blackmail that Mizkif has done towards me and some of these issues which are still ongoing."
She detailed that she had tried to avoid speaking about it since they had broken up in fear that it became a conversation dominated by social media 'drama', but since learning about a number of alleged new incidents involving Mizkif she felt as if she had to come forward.
"Because of this, I cannot in good conscience sit here knowing that I know critical information about someone that almost no one else does and not say anything," Emiru illustrated, providing answers for anyone who might have questioned why she chose to speak now.
She recounted a time when Mizkif tried to 'comfort' her by hugging her as she was crying, but "he started kissing me in my face, and I let him do it, I was still sobbing a lot. And then, suddenly, he tried to climb on top of me and aggressively shoved his hand down my pants, and I screamed."
After this, she recalls that "instead of apologizing and checking if I was ok, he said, 'I feel weird now, I feel like I did something wrong, I have to go'. And he immediately left my house while I was still crying."
Additionally, he allegedly would bang on the door of her streaming room and scream at her if she locked herself in there to get away from him, and she also claimed that Mizkif "has been indirectly threatening me through my friends and people that I work with," adding that "he said that if I ever talked about anything he did, he would try and create a smear campaign against me in retaliation."
Specific to this 'smear campaign' was accusations involving Emiru's rabbits, as she outlined: "Multiple people have told me that his plan was to claim that I kill animals and that I killed my own rabbits since I had several of my rabbits pass away over the course of three years while I lived with him."
Fellow Twitch streamer Ececlare responded to the stream on X by stating: "Emiru is setting the example right now. She is doing something a lot of women and those assaulted are afraid to do. Extremely proud because THIS is not easy for her."
How has Mizkif responded to the allegations?
Almost exactly as Emiru predicted, Mizkif responded to her stream by focusing on the rabbits that died while the pair were living together. "Emiru has a lot of rabbits. These were a big part of her life, but as those rabbits moved out of her room and into the living room, they started to see disgusting neglect," the streamer claimed.
"I would tell her all the time to take care opf them, but to no avail. She completely neglected those rabbits, so much so that many of them died," Mizkif added.
In response to her claims that he was 'controlling' her, Mizkif explained: "I told her many things. I told her to dress older, to stop wearing pyjamas, and to stop talking about stalkers as a whole.
"Stop talking about past relationships, and yes, I didn't want her to travel without me. I also said that I didn't want her to hang out with specific people. This is because I didn't want her to get hurt."
He also alleged that Emiru was also 'violent' towards him, relaying that "I'm ashamed that the situation got so bad, but Emi was also violent. She would throw clothes or plushies at me, and I'd punch holes in the walls or slam doors in aggression."
Emiru had consulted a lawyer before going public with the information regarding Mizkif, adding that "if I was going to do this, I was going to do it right because it's so serious." She is also in the process of filing a restraining order against Mizkif in both California and Texas.
