“Take your hand off the car. You couldn’t afford the mirror.”

The showroom fell completely silent. Madison lowered her phone, certain she had misheard. “Mr. Navarro?” she repeated. The showroom director ignored her and hurried toward Elias. “Sir, we sincerely apologize,” he said. “Headquarters never informed us about your visit.” Elias calmly nodded and glanced back at the Bugatti. “Who approved the replacement?” The director visibly swallowed. “We believed it was necessary after the transport incident.” Elias’s expression hardened. “Necessary?” His hand slid across the repaired panel. “This vehicle is one of twelve in existence. Every original component matters.” The manager standing nearby suddenly looked nervous. Madison stared at Elias in disbelief. Just minutes ago, everyone had assumed he was a random man who wandered in from the street. Now the entire showroom seemed terrified of him. “Wait,” Madison interrupted. “Who exactly is he?” Nobody answered immediately. Then the director quietly said, “The Navarro Collection owns twenty-seven Bugattis worldwide.” Gasps echoed through the showroom. Madison’s phone nearly slipped from her hand. Elias turned toward her, calm as ever. “You judged me because of my clothes.” Madison’s face flushed bright red. But Elias wasn’t interested in embarrassing her. His attention returned to the car. Something about it clearly bothered him. Then he crouched beside the front wheel and noticed something nobody else had seen. A tiny engraving hidden beneath the carbon fiber. The moment he saw it, all color drained from his face.
