‘Hand Of God’ Appears In Ultrasound After Mom’s Prayer For Baby’s Health
A Kentucky mother thinks that “the hand of God” has blessed her child after seeing an odd artefact on her ultrasound.
The 32-week scan seems to depict a big hand stroking her unborn child’s head.
Amanda Foster, 33, is eight months along in her pregnancy with a boy, and she has ‘asked the Lord constantly to please keep His hand on my baby’ before every visit since the baby was diagnosed with a heart problem early in the pregnancy.
Near the aorta, the big artery that transports blood from the heart to the body, there was a potentially fatal issue with the wall dividing certain areas of the heart.
Online users have praised the ultrasound, calling the image “amazing” and “a miracle.”
According to some, it is the baby’s hand, which was swollen and deformed during the ultrasound.

However, following the health crisis, Foster and her husband, Kyle, feel that their boy was being protected by God.
“We prayed and prayed along with several others. When we followed up with a specialist, it was gone,” Foster shared on Facebook. “I have been so thankful that I’ve begun to pray before every appointment.”
However, Foster’s adventure started at the age of 17.
Potter’s syndrome, which happens when the baby’s kidneys do not grow normally or are absent, was discovered to be present in her first son at 18 weeks of pregnancy.
Physical characteristics like a flattened face, low-set ears, and limb malformations result from this disorder, which also limits the baby’s position in the womb and hampers lung development.
Foster lost her first child as a result of these issues, and Potter syndrome is regarded as a terminal diagnosis.
“My thought at that time was, Well, if God is going to take my son, He will take me too!” Foster shared.
“It didn’t work out that way, and I developed a deep resentment and anger toward God. If that wasn’t enough, I was later told it was very unlikely I would ever have a healthy baby boy since Potter’s syndrome is more common in males.”
Later, Foster and Kyle gave birth to two healthy girls.
She was “drowning in anger, pain, mind chaos, and torture,” even though she was thrilled to be a mother.
“I never doubted that God wasn’t real, I just didn’t want anything to do with Him because of what He had done to me,” said Foster.
“I lived a very chaotic and miserable life for a while. I had finally given up. I was tired and completely broken when I turned my life over to Jesus Christ in September of 2021.”
Foster claimed that after that, everything in her life improved, and by November, she was expecting a child.
“In March of 2022, I found out he was a boy and that he was healthy! He is now two, almost three! Fast forward to now, I found out I was pregnant with another baby boy, and this pregnancy has had its ups and downs,” she said.
Bailey, her youngest daughter, was the first to notice the enormous hand covering her soon-to-be younger brother’s face when she accompanied her to the ultrasound appointment.
“Thinking about [the ultrasound] more and more brought me to tears and filled me with gratitude for all God has and continues to do for me,” Foster said.
