Kelly Brook's movie is 'worst film ever' and it's on Amazon Prime now

As Kelly Brook battles the heat, bugs and brutal trials of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, many viewers have been revisiting one of the most surprising — and much-criticised — chapters of her acting career. While she is now best known as a presenter, model and radio personality, Kelly once starred in a comedy film that has since gained a reputation online as one of the “worst movies ever made,” and it has recently resurfaced on Amazon Prime for curious viewers.

The film in question is Keith Lemon: The Film, released in 2012. In this chaotic British comedy, Kelly appears as herself — playing the glamorous love interest of outrageous TV character Keith Lemon, portrayed by Leigh Francis. The movie was intended to build on the popularity of Celebrity Juice, the long-running television panel show in which Francis’s Lemon character became a household name. Producers doubled down on the character’s bizarre energy, creating a full-length feature packed with adult humour, crude gags and celebrity cameos.

The film brought together an eclectic cast: David Hasselhoff, Gary Barlow, Emma Bunton, Jedward, and Peter Andre all make appearances, weaving in and out of Lemon’s manic storyline. Meanwhile, Verne Troyer plays a surreal guardian-angel figure, and Laura Aikman stars as Rosie, Keith’s devoted but increasingly frustrated girlfriend.

But despite the star-studded cast, the film received fierce backlash. On Rotten Tomatoes, one reviewer blasted it by saying:

“To be honest, it was the worst film ever. Keith Lemon is ok for TV but not for the big screen. Kelly Brook was D-list. It's not funny at all. Holly and Fearne should have a bigger part. Overall, rubbish.”

Another reviewer was equally unforgiving:

“To say this film is bad would be an understatement. The jokes are so immature they make you feel uncomfortable, and the story looks like it came out of a child’s English class. All in all, Keith Lemon is a terrible film.”

The plot follows Keith after a disastrous business failure in London. His pregnant girlfriend begins losing faith in him, prompting Keith to reinvent himself. He soon stumbles upon a bizarre new invention that turns him into an overnight millionaire, propelling him into fame and fortune in Hollywood. As his ego inflates, he begins dating Kelly Brook and living a lavish celebrity lifestyle — all while dodging the increasingly chaotic consequences of his actions. Matters escalate when he becomes indebted to his nemesis, Evil Steve, who eventually kidnaps Rosie, forcing Keith into a climactic rescue mission.

Yet despite the tidal wave of negative reviews, not every viewer hated the film. Some fans of Celebrity Juice felt it delivered exactly what it promised: unfiltered, silly chaos.
One enthusiastic fan wrote:

“Never seen Celebrity Juice before, but thought this film was freaking hilarious!”

Another added:

“A great and funny comedy full of exactly what you’d expect from Keith Lemon and his crazy life. Some people think it’s rubbish, but if you like Keith Lemon, you’ll love it. Definitely worth the money.”

For those curious to judge the film for themselves — or to revisit it with fresh eyes — Keith Lemon: The Film starring Kelly Brook is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. It is also available to rent on Apple TV for anyone eager to discover what all the fuss (and criticism) is about.
