MAFS UK's Keye confirms split with Davide and admits 'I made a terrible decision'

Another Married at First Sight UK couple have officially called time on their relationship, marking yet another heartbreak for fans of the hit E4 series.

Keye Luke and David Ancica — who became one of the season’s most passionate and seemingly rock-solid pairings — have now confirmed they have separated after the show’s emotional final vows and reunion episodes aired earlier this week.

Although viewers saw the couple looking united at the reunion, Keye has since revealed that their marriage unraveled shortly afterwards, with the reality star speaking candidly about what went wrong.

According to a statement shared with The Sun (via The Mirror), Keye admitted he downloaded Grindr “in the early hours of a Sunday morning” while Davide was mid-flight. He insisted the move wasn’t about cheating, but about coping with overwhelming personal struggles.

“I wasn't there looking to cheat, hook up, or find anyone else,” he explained, adding that he had been in “a really dark place” and turned to “something unhealthy” because he didn’t know how to manage his emotions.

He continued:

“Even if my intentions weren’t sexual, I still crossed a line. I know how it looked, and I know it broke trust. Davide found me with his profile and it cost me my marriage.”

The revelation shocked many fans, as Davide and Keye had been portrayed as one of the experiment’s strongest couples — affectionate, supportive, and consistently growing closer throughout the series. During their heartfelt final vows, Davide even told Keye: “I have never had anyone make me feel as wanted and desired as you do… even when you are loud, it’s because of the way you love me.”

Despite their undeniable bond, the breach of trust proved too difficult to repair.

Other MAFS UK couples facing similar heartbreak

Keye and Davide are not the only pair whose romance failed to survive beyond the cameras. Reiss Boyce and Leisha Lightbody also revealed during the reunion that they have split, opening up about the tensions that emerged after filming.

Reiss explained that shortly after the experiment, Leisha visited him in Essex and told him a footballer had messaged her — adding that if things didn’t work out with Reiss, she would “just get with a footballer.” According to Reiss, the unsettling comment lingered, and further jealousy later erupted during a night out, ultimately pushing him to end the marriage.

These relationship breakdowns add to a growing list of MAFS UK couples who seemed strong during filming but struggled to transition into real-life relationships once the unique support structure of the experiment ended — a pattern previously reported by outlets like The Independent and Radio Times, which have noted the show’s notoriously low long-term success rate.

A season filled with emotion — and turbulence

The 2025 series of Married at First Sight UK has now concluded, leaving behind a mix of inspiring love stories and dramatic ruptures. While a handful of couples remain together, the reunion episodes revealed tensions, jealousy, and confessions that viewers didn’t see on camera, with several cast members disclosing scenes cut from the final edit — a trend also highlighted in coverage by Metro UK (source noted).

As fans look ahead to the next series, the latest break-ups spark ongoing conversation about whether the social experiment truly helps build lasting marriages, or whether the pressure-cooker environment simply creates short-term chemistry that rarely survives the transition into everyday life.
