PART 2: “STOP—DON’T TOUCH IT—!”
His scream tore through the cabin like thunder.
The lantern trembled on the table, throwing wild shadows across the wooden walls. Outside, the blizzard roared against the windows. Inside—something far worse was happening.
He gripped the chair so hard the wood creaked beneath his hands. Sweat streamed down his face. His whole body shook.
“PLEASE—STOP!”
But she didn’t stop.
Her fingers trembled as she held his head steady, breathing fast.
“There’s something in there…” she whispered.
The camera moved closer.
Closer.
Straight toward his ear.
The metal tweezers slid in slowly.
He screamed again—louder this time, broken and desperate.
“Hold still… just hold still…” she said, barely able to keep her voice steady.
The lantern flame flickered violently.
Then—she felt it.
Resistance.
Not wax.
Not flesh.
Something alive.
Her eyes widened in horror.
His body jerked so hard the chair nearly tipped backward.
“GET IT OUT! GET IT OUT!”
She pulled carefully. Slow. Tightening her grip.
Then came a wet snap.
Something released.
She yanked the tweezers back.
The camera whipped to her hand.
Something tiny.
Black.
Twisting.
Alive.
For one frozen second, neither of them breathed.
The man gasped sharply—
Then everything went silent.
Too silent.
He blinked once.
Twice.
Slowly, he lifted his head.
The pain was gone.
“…I… I can hear…” he whispered.
His voice was calm now. Too calm.
Because outside—
The storm had stopped.
No wind.
No snow.
No sound at all.
The woman couldn’t speak. She stared at the thing in her hand.
It was changing.
Longer than before.
Thinner.
Pulsing slowly.
“This… was inside you…” she whispered.
The creature suddenly jerked hard, nearly slipping free.
Then it made a sound.
Not an insect.
Not an animal.
A whisper.
Faint. Broken. Almost human.
“…don’t…”
Her hand froze.
The man’s eyes widened.
The creature twisted again—trying to turn toward them—trying to face them—
And the lantern went out.
Darkness swallowed the room.
