Why The Celebrity Traitors isn’t on BBC One tonight and when you can watch The Final and Uncloaked

The Celebrity Traitors host
The celebrity edition of the suspense-drama series The Celebrity Traitors is heading into its final stretch — but viewers who were planning to tune in tonight will be disappointed: the show will not be on its usual slot.

Why isn’t The Celebrity Traitors airing tonight?

Since its launch on Wednesday 8 October on BBC, the spin-off has aired twice a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) at 9 pm on BBC One. However, tonight it will be absent from that 9 pm slot because the BBC has scheduled the brand-new drama series Shetland in its place. (Source: original text)

The BBC had earlier confirmed that this celebrity version would run for only nine episodes — notably three fewer than the standard civilian version of The Traitors, which typically spans twelve episodes. (According to ratings summaries the civilian Series 1-3 each had 12 episodes.)

Originally, many fans expected the finale of The Celebrity Traitors to air on Friday 31 October, running the last three episodes across three consecutive nights. However, this was delayed — the Friday 9 pm slot instead featured a new edition of Have I Got News For You. So tonight’s episode is pre-empted. (Source: original text)

When will the finale air?

The BBC confirmed on 16 October that the finale would air tomorrow, Thursday 6 November 2025, at 9 pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Instead of the usual 60-minute runtime, the episode will be a full 70 minutes in length. (Source: original text)

A BBC statement explains:

“The series is set to conclude on Thursday November 6 at 9 pm on BBC One and iPlayer, where fans will be treated to a 70-minute episode. The celebrities have been playing for the chance to win up to £100,000 for their chosen charities, but will the Faithfuls banish all of the Traitors to secure victory, or will the Traitors manage to deceive until the bitter end?” (Source: original text)

Who are the final five players?

The remaining contestants are:

  • Alan Carr

  • Cat Burns

  • David Olusoga

  • Nick Mohammed

  • Joe Marler

What about the spin-off show “Uncloaked”?

Because there’s no new episode of The Celebrity Traitors tonight, there will also be no episode of the companion series The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked this evening. However, the host Ed Gamble will return tomorrow for a special encore Uncloaked show, joined by the cast and host Claudia Winkleman. The special finale Uncloaked will run for 45 minutes (rather than the usual 30) on BBC Two and BBC Sounds, beginning at approximately 10:10 pm, immediately after the main show concludes. Additional Context & Notes

  • This celebrity edition of The Traitors franchise is part of the BBC’s bid to capitalise on the format’s popularity. According to a Marie Claire piece, the BBC confirmed the celebrity version in August 2025, noting that filming had completed at Scotland’s Ardross Castle, and that stars such as Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith, Alan Carr, Kate Garraway, Charlotte Church and Tom Daley were involved.

  • The Times reported earlier in the year that the BBC’s autumn launch of the celebrity version would be the first time the format used well-known personalities rather than non-celebrities; the series was commissioned alongside another civilian series for early 2026.
