The GoPro captured a unique underwater perspective
A YouTuber straps a GoPro to a fish to capture some unique underwater footage.
GoPros have opened up worlds we might have the chance, or even dared, to go and explore. Some videos have been in the name of science, others not so much.
Daring YouTubers have exposed what really lives beneath cruise ships and others have uncovered what lurks in the depths of the world's most dangerous rivers.
We've seen pet owners strap the tiny cameras to their cats and dogs to see how they explore when humans aren't around.
Meanwhile, more adventurous filmmakers have somehow managed to attach them to lions, dolphins and birds of prey.
Now, one fisherman has shown us what the world looks like from a fish's point of view.
YouTuber Monster Mike Fishing decided to strap a GoPro onto a large fish to capture underwater footage from the animal's point of view.
"Basically, we just made this as small as possible so we're gonna strap that around the fish," the cameraman explained while showing off their custom GoPro harness.
"We're gonna hook the rod, tie the line onto the GoPro. That way, if the fish knocks it off somehow, we can still reel in the GoPro to recover the footage."
The guys didn't settle for just any fish either. They used a huge chunk of Wonder Bread as bait and, after a lot of struggling, managed to reel in a 'monster' fish.
"I can't wait until we catch a big fish and strap a GoPro on him," he said.
Mike carefully strapped the GoPro harness right under the fish's fin, then let it swim away while still attached to a fishing rod.

The resulting footage gives us a pretty unique perspective of how the fish navigates underwater, showing numerous orange-coloured fish swimming past the GoPro lens.
You can see the fish moving in and out of weeds and exploring the river bottom in ways that would be impossible to film from above the surface.
While the water is murky and the footage isn't crystal clear or very long, it's still interesting to see a glimpse of underwater life.
By the end of the experiment, the fish had managed to break free of its filming duties. When the team retrieved their GoPro, the fish was long gone - probably hiding somewhere after what must have been a very confusing experience.
The footage even caught the attention of internet megastar MrBeast, who made a reaction video to the experiment.
