Former I’m A Celebrity stars reckon a ‘frustrated’ Aitch will cause ‘friction’ with his fellow campmates

Former Campmates Predict Aitch May Be the Trouble-Starter in This Year’s I’m A Celebrity
Two former I’m A Celebrity contestants have already suggested that newcomer Aitch might be the campmate most likely to shake things up this season. Gillian McKeith, who appeared in the 2010 series and returned for 2023’s All Stars edition, has shared her thoughts, while Scarlette Douglas, a 2022 participant, seems to share the same intuition. Both believe the rapper could be the personality who triggers tension or unexpected clashes within the group.
Their predictions land amid rising viewer excitement, as fans on social media and entertainment outlets have tipped Aitch and his close friend Angry Ginge to potentially become this season’s standout duo. Several outlets, including Metro and The Independent, have noted that the pair’s dynamic could bring both humour and conflict to the jungle (Metro), (Independent).
Gillian McKeith Says Aitch Is “Desperate to Win”
In a conversation with TV Guide on behalf of Paddy Power Bingo, Gillian was asked which contestant she might struggle with the most if she were in this year’s camp. At first, she replied with optimism and diplomacy, saying that the entire line-up seemed fairly easy-going.
However, she then added that Aitch “really wants to win – desperately,” suggesting his competitiveness could spill over into irritation, especially during stressful challenges or moments when personalities clash. Gillian even joked that she might have tried to charm him with “a silly rap song” to diffuse tension.
She also noted that viewers have not yet seen a true “chaos-bringer” in the style of Shaun Ryder, referencing the famously unpredictable contestant from previous seasons (TV Guide).
Scarlette Douglas Recalls Aitch Getting “Frustrated” Before
Scarlette Douglas, speaking on behalf of Sky Vegas, also identified Aitch as the one most likely to create friction. Her view is based on direct experience: she previously filmed the 1% Club Soccer Aid special with him. She said she remembered him becoming “a bit frustrated” during filming, which left a strong impression.
Asked who she believed might get pulled into conflict this season, she responded: “I’m going to say Aitch. He’s the one I can see causing a bit of friction. If anyone’s going to be vocal about anything, I think it could be Aitch.”
Scarlette’s assessment aligns with coverage from RadioTimes and Evening Standard, which have both described Aitch as outspoken and competitive in earlier TV appearances (RadioTimes), (Evening Standard).
Aitch Might Actually Become the Camp’s Peacemaker
Despite the comments from former contestants, Aitch’s behaviour in the early episodes tells a potentially different story. On launch night, when Angry Ginge criticised Jack Osbourne’s fire-lighting skills, Aitch quickly stepped in and pulled his friend aside. He encouraged him to take a calmer tone, which led some viewers to wonder whether Aitch might actually become a balancing force rather than a conflict starter.
Entertainment reporters from ITV News and Digital Spy have also highlighted this moment, noting that Aitch seemed surprisingly measured and mature compared to how some expected him to behave (Digital Spy). Whether this calmness will last under the pressures of the jungle remains to be seen.
Tonight’s Bushtucker Trial Puts Him to the Test
Aitch takes centre stage in tonight’s Bushtucker Trial (November 18), which features him crawling through a maze of twisting tunnels filled with snakes. According to previews released by ITV and reported by BBC Entertainment, presenters Ant and Dec struggled to contain their laughter as Aitch tried to stay composed amid the chaos (BBC).
The trial is expected to be one of the most intense challenges of the week, raising the key question viewers are asking: Can Aitch stay cool under extreme pressure, or will this be the moment he finally reaches his breaking point?
The answer will unfold tonight at 9pm when the episode airs.
