Vice President JD Vance has responded after the vile Telegram messages from a Young Republican group chat were leaked.
The messages came from a Telegram group chat titled ‘RESTOREYR WAR ROOM’ where members reportedly said that rape was ‘epic’, described Black people as ‘monkeys’, and praised Hitler.
This has come to light after leaked messages from the group were obtained by Politico.
According to the report, 2,900 pages of texts sent this year have been revealed after the group was created by Trump supporter and former president of the New York State Young Republicans, Peter Giunta, who was also one of the most prolific members of the chat.
Earlier this year, Giunta wrote about how he would react to people who didn’t vote for him when he attempted to become chair of the Young Republican National Federation.
He allegedly wrote: “Everyone that votes no is going to the gas chamber, and everyone that endorsed but then votes for us is going to the gas chamber.”
In another exchange, Giunta reportedly said ‘I love Hitler’ and also went on an obscene rant about Young Republicans leaning towards voting for his opponent.
He allegedly wrote: “Minnesota f****ts. Arkansas - inbred cow f****ers Nebraska - revolt in our favor; blocked their bind and have a majority of their delegates Maryland - fat stinky Jew … Rhode Island - traitorous c***s who I will eradicate from the face of this planet.”
In a statement to Politico, Giunta said: “I am so sorry to those offended by the insensitive and inexcusable language found within the more than 28,000 messages of a private group chat that I created during my campaign to lead the Young Republicans.
“While I take complete responsibility, I have had no way of verifying their accuracy and am deeply concerned that the message logs in question may have been deceptively doctored.”
Now, JD Vance has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to speak out about the incident by moving the conversation towards alleged screenshots of messages sent by the Democratic candidate for attorney general in Virginia.

The vice president said: “This is far worse than anything said in a college group chat, and the guy who said it could become the AG of Virginia. I refuse to join the pearl clutching when powerful people call for political violence.”
People took to the X comment section to reaction to Vance’s post, with one user writing: “So you’re condoning the virulent racism, misogyny, & the celebration of gas chambers, rape squads, and slavery?
“A college chat? 28,000 messages over 7 months. One of the participants is a state senator. One works in your administration (at least one).”
And another added: “How about condemning violence PERIOD?”
