🎬 PART 2: «The Sister Who Survived the Night»

Charlotte stood so fast the crowd gasped.

“Take me to her.”

Her security team tried to stop her, but she grabbed the little girl’s hand and pushed through the cameras, through the shouting, through the flashing lights that suddenly felt cruel and useless.

The child ran beside her, crying and barefoot inside worn shoes.

“What’s your name?” Charlotte asked.

“Lily.”

Charlotte’s grip tightened.

That was the name her sister used to give every doll they shared.

Outside the hospital entrance, beneath a flickering streetlamp, a woman sat wrapped in a thin coat.

Her blonde hair was shorter now. Her face was tired and hollow.

But Charlotte knew her instantly.

“Mia?”

The woman looked up.

For one second, she was a child again, standing in their bedroom with the pink bracelet in her palm.

Then she broke.

“Charlotte.”

Charlotte fell to her knees and pulled her sister into her arms, sobbing so hard neither of them could speak.

“I thought you died,” Charlotte cried. “I looked for you everywhere.”

Mia clutched her dress with shaking hands.

“He told me if I came back, he would hurt you.”

Charlotte pulled back, eyes wet and furious.

“Who?”

Mia looked past her.

At the edge of the crowd, a man in a black coat stepped out of the shadows.

Charlotte recognized him immediately.

Her former manager.

The man who built her career.

The man who always made sure she never asked too many questions about the past.

Lily hid behind Charlotte.

“That’s him,” she whispered. “That’s my father.”

Mia’s voice trembled.

“He took me the night of your birthday party. When I had Lily, he said she would belong to him too.”

Charlotte stood, keeping her sister and niece behind her.

The cameras were still rolling.

The red carpet crowd had followed.

For the first time, the whole world was watching the man who had hidden in plain sight.

Charlotte wiped her tears and looked straight into the lenses.

“My sister is alive,” she said. “And the man who stole her is standing right there.”

The man turned to run.

But security closed in before he reached the street.

Charlotte held Lily’s hand with one hand and Mia’s with the other.

Her birthday had always been the day she lost her sister.

Now, under the hospital lights and a hundred cameras, it became the day she brought her home.
