Put this thing in a lemon and put it in the corner of the house

With just a few simple tips, you can eliminate mosquitoes from your home.

Repel mosquitoes with lemon and dried cloves

There are many different ways to get rid of mosquitoes. You can use mosquito spray, coils, or essential oils. In addition, there are plenty of natural ingredients that can help drive mosquitoes out of your house.

Lemon is one of them. All you need is a lemon and some dried cloves to keep mosquitoes away safely, without worrying about any negative health effects. You can buy dried cloves at herbal medicine shops or places that sell spices and herbs.

The method is simple: cut the lemon horizontally, then insert a few dried cloves into the cut surface. The more cloves you use, the stronger the scent will be—and the better it will work at repelling mosquitoes.

Place the clove-studded lemon in corners or areas where mosquitoes tend to gather, such as bathrooms, dining rooms, or living rooms. You can also place the lemon on a small dish for easier cleanup later.

Use coffee grounds

After brewing coffee, don’t throw away the used grounds—they can help repel mosquitoes. Dry the coffee grounds thoroughly, then burn them. Use the smoldering grounds to fumigate your home, especially in areas where mosquitoes gather.

Note: When burning coffee grounds, keep windows open to ventilate the house. Be cautious—the coffee grounds will smolder without producing a visible flame.

Use dried orange or tangerine peels

When eating oranges or tangerines, don’t throw away the peels. The essential oils in these peels are very effective at repelling mosquitoes. The pleasant aroma may be attractive to humans, but it’s something mosquitoes can’t stand. To drive them away, simply burn a few pieces of dried orange or tangerine peel.

Although this method only works for a short time—about a few hours—it will make your home smell fresh and pleasant.

Repel mosquitoes with garlic

Garlic is a spice that can repel mosquitoes extremely effectively. Mosquitoes seem to strongly dislike the natural oils released from garlic. In places where garlic odor is present, mosquitoes tend to stay far away.

Here are a few ways to use garlic to keep mosquitoes away:

Eat garlic: If you regularly eat garlic, a faint scent will be released through your pores. While you might not notice it, mosquitoes certainly can—and they’ll avoid you.

Apply garlic water to the skin: If you have children and don’t want to use chemical repellents on their skin, apply a little garlic water instead. It will keep mosquitoes from attacking them.

Boil garlic and spray the water around the house: Boil crushed garlic in water and spray the solution into corners or mosquito-prone areas. This will help make your living space mosquito-free, as they’ll quickly flee.

Use mosquito-repelling essential oils

Mosquitoes dislike the scent of certain herbal essential oils. You can use natural oils such as lavender, lemongrass, eucalyptus, cinnamon, or peppermint oil. Use them with a diffuser or mix them into water for mopping the floor.

Another simple and inexpensive method is to use medicated oil (like menthol or camphor oil). Just place a few drops in corners where mosquitoes gather, or apply a little directly to your skin.

You can also apply a small amount of medicated oil to your fan blades—this will help spread the scent throughout the room and make it even more effective at repelling mosquitoes.
