PART 2: “She disappeared eight years ago…” he whispered.

PART 2: “She disappeared eight years ago…” he whispered.

The rich woman crushed the little girl’s chalk drawing beneath her heel and told her to “clean the mess.”
The homeless child didn’t scream.
Didn’t run.

She dropped to her knees and started drawing again faster than before, tears falling onto the pavement as people stopped to watch.

Then a police officer walking by suddenly froze.

Because the face the mute girl was drawing belonged to a missing child who vanished eight years ago.

The crowd went silent.

The little girl added one final symbol beneath the drawing — a tiny necklace.

The officer’s radio slipped from his hand.
His face turned pale.

“She disappeared eight years ago…” he whispered.

Then the mute girl slowly pointed at the rich woman standing over her.

And the woman’s smile disappeared instantly.

Part 2 in the comments.
