Scientists reveal what your favorite way to eat eggs really says about you

Scientists believe that the way you enjoy your eggs can actually reveal aspects of your personality.
So, how do you like your eggs in the morning? While a kiss might not be on the menu, psychologists have uncovered what your preferred way of preparing eggs says about you.
It might sound like something from childhood — remember the “buttercup under the chin” trick to find out if you like butter? But this is no game.
A study involving 1,010 egg enthusiasts from the UK was conducted to learn about their egg preferences, along with other personal details, including their sex drive. The British Egg Industry Council (BEIC) commissioned the Mindlab International study, and the results provide some interesting insights into what your egg choices say about you.
Boiled Eggs
The survey revealed that, on average, women are more likely to prefer boiled eggs than men. Those who enjoy their eggs boiled in the shell tend to be impulsive, disorganized, or careless. As for relationships, it appears that fans of boiled eggs may be more prone to experiencing a divorce.
Poached Eggs
Now, for the poached egg lovers—can anything beat a perfectly poached egg atop a slice of buttered sourdough, with smashed avocado, tomatoes, olive oil, chili flakes, garlic granules, and a dash of hot sauce?
It’s specific, which is precisely how poached egg enthusiasts are described. The survey found that poached egg lovers are likely to have two children and come from families with only one older sibling. Women, in particular, prefer poached eggs, and this trend continues into older age.
Additionally, poached egg fans tend to be happier, sociable, and outgoing. They enjoy energetic music, love wearing bold clothing, and are generally more lively.
Fried Eggs
If you prefer a fried egg, you are probably more likely to be a young man, according to the study. Ironically, this preference suggests you're open to new experiences, curious, creative, and imaginative. However, we might argue that fried eggs are the most straightforward — some might say boring — way to prepare an egg (unless it's nestled between slices of bread with sausages!).
The survey also found that fried egg fans often come from the skilled working class and have older siblings. They are also reported to have a more varied and stronger sex life, with a more memorable dream recall. So, fried egg lovers, you’ve got a lot going for you!
Omelettes
Omelette lovers are described as well-organized, self-disciplined, and reliable—qualities that make sense, as preparing an omelette is one of the more complex ways to cook an egg. The study also revealed that omelette fans tend to live longer, experience fewer divorces, and maintain clean and tidy homes. These individuals are clearly the professionals of the egg world!
Scrambled Eggs
Scrambled egg lovers are often found in managerial or senior positions and are more likely to have a mortgage. This style of egg is particularly favored by people aged 20 to 39. It’s also believed that scrambled egg fans tend to be more guarded and less open.
Given that the study was based on a small sample size, it's best to take these results with a pinch of salt (just like you would with your eggs!).
