Harvard Prof Says Ancient Mars Was Home To Civilization Destroyed By Extraterrestrial Nuke
A Harvard scientist claims that a nuclear attack destroyed an ancient Martian culture.
The statements are supported by scientific research, despite the fact that they might evoke the alien warfare depicted in The Edge of Tomorrow. The wild theory was first proposed in 2011 by Harvard’s Dr. John Brandenburg. The researcher claims that ancient Martians, often referred to as Cydonians and Utopians, were massacred throughout the planet. Furthermore, Dr. Brandenburg thinks remnants of the disaster are still present on the surface of Mars today.
He first proposed that the red colour of Mars could be caused by the fallout from a large thermonuclear explosion rather than just iron oxide. Additionally, according to Dr. Brandenburg, certain chemical components discovered on Mars are quite similar to those that are left over from nuclear test sites on Earth.
But many other scientists are persuaded. The lack of a crater or other obvious indicators of a blast, as well as the fact that the study was published in a relatively low-level scientific journal, were among the reasons they cited.

Nevertheless, social media is helping to increase awareness of the hypothesis. Science fiction author and philosopher Jason Reza Jorjani discussed Dr. Brandenburg’s “alarming evidence” of past life on Mars on an episode of the Danny Jones Podcast, which has over a million subscribers.
“Every planet has a certain amount of isotopes of different materials on it, and apparently the isotopic ratio of Xenon 129 is consistent across the entire solar system, except for on Mars,” he said. The research claims a ‘high concentration’ of Xenon-129 in the Martian atmosphere, which is a remnant of nuclear explosions. Xenon 129 is a stable, non-radioactive gas found in trace amounts in the Earth’s atmosphere, and it is released during nuclear fusion.
The space agency also claimed that the higher-than-expected quantities of the isotope Xenon-126 that NASA had found in the Cydonia region of Mars were an optical illusion brought on by surface morphology.
They claimed that collisions on the surface and gas escaping from the rocky material—the soil and fractured rocks of the surface—could have released the chemical components into the sky.
But Jorjani supports the Harvard scientist.
“When a thermonuclear bomb is detonated, it leaves a trace of Xenon 129 in that area, which is not the normal,” he explained. “And according to Dr Brandenburg, it’s a very distinct signature. It’s unmistakable, and it’s specifically associated with thermonuclear weapons detonation.”
The philosopher went on to say that the scientist’s research was connected to a CIA report on intelligent life on Mars that ended because of “corruption” on the planet.
Despite this, the government agency has never actually confirmed there is life on the Red Planet. “When you put the [CIA’s] data next to Brandenburg’s thesis, this nuclear event took place maybe a hundred million years ago,” Jorjani added. “Joe McMonagle was tasked with remote viewing Mars in 1984. And this was a CIA operation run at the Monroe Institute. So he was working on contract for the CIA and this was done at the, at the Monroe Institute.”
